Learning Objectives:
- Participants will have increased knowledge regarding the global history of gender diverse, gender variant, and transgender individuals.
- Participants will better understand the history of medicalization and gate-keeping for gender affirming care.
- Participants will be able to apply knowledge of biological, chromosomal, genetic, hormonal, and physiological aspects which contribute to the etiology of gender incongruence to their clinical practice.
- Participants will have an enhanced understanding of their own level of competency in providing transgender affirming care.
